    Jordan, Iraq to reinforce economic ties

    (MENAFN) Jordan was declared to have reached an agreement with Iraq to strengthen their bilateral relations in various areas, mainly in economy.

    The agreement was reached during a meeting held in Amman between Jordanian King Abdullah II and Iraqi President Barham Salih.

    During their talks, the two leaders addressed their cooperation within a range of areas which cover investment, transport and commerce.

    Jordan's King highlighted the importance of joint economic projects, specifically the project of establishing an oil pipeline between Basra and Aqaba.

    The discussed projects also cover the reconstruction of roads between Amman and Baghdad, along with the formation of an industrial zone at the border.
