400 firms join Saudi Aramco supply chain project

(MENAFN) Over 400 firms were added to the national supply chain project Saudi Aramco launched, as it aims to boost indigenous products and services.

The Saudi oil giant added companies which consist of Bakers Hughes, part of GE, Schlumberger, AZR Technologies and the Arabian Drilling Company.

The move was explained to be in line with the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) programme of Saudi Aramco.

The purpose behind the project is to locally source the giant's supply chain through incentivizing international and domestic providers to make investments in the kingdom.

The signed companies were also confirmed to be contributing with an overall of 24 commodities across the world.
