    Jordanian airport's passenger traffic jumps 9.2 percent

    (MENAFN) The number of passengers of the Jordanian Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) recorded a9.2 percent surge in October, on annual basis.

    Amman-based airport welcomed 654,791 passengers last month, according to Airport International Group.

    The Jordanian airport further registered an 11.5 percent boost in its aircraft movements last month, standing at 6,173.

    However, the airport's cargo handled saw a 7.9 percent decline during the period to hit 9,165 tons compared to last year during the same period.

    A year-to-date (YTD) increase by 5.8 percent was posted in the number of the airport's passengers as they reached 7,197,330 passengers in passenger measured against the first ten months of last year.
