    S. Sudan grants license for mobile money platform launch

(MENAFN) South Sudan presented a domestic private firm with a license to launch mobile money and electronic cash transfer.

The move was made in an attempt to expand financial inclusion while eyeing countless impoverished people who have no access to financial services.

Trinity Technologies, along with another firm, was provided with the license from the South Sudanese National Communication Authority (NCA).

The licenses were granted for the launch of transacting mobile money and electronic cash transfers, NCA director general Ladu Wani Kenyi stated.

The director general noted "in the last one month NCA has engaged with Trinity Technologies for granting of a license for the platform that will provide electronic and mobile money services in South Sudan."

Kenyi added that "this process has come to end and NCA has granted Trinity Technologies this license."
