    Israel's start-up Codemonkey acquired at USD20m

(MENAFN) Israel's start-up Codemonkey was confirmed on Tuesday to have been acquired at a cost of around USD20 million.

China's TAL Education Group is acquiring the Israeli start-up which was launched in 2013 in Tel Aviv, with three software engineers as its founders.

The Israeli firm, following its purchase, is to keep on acting as an independent subsidiary responsible for research and development for markets in China and other counties.

"TAL Education is an ideal partner for us to accelerate the entry into the Chinese market, a country we have defined as a major target several years ago, while supporting the expansion of operations in the rest of the world," stated Codemonkey CEO Jonathan Schor.
