    Jordan, Saudi fund reach deal to reschedule USD114m debt

    (MENAFN) Jordan was able to achieve an agreement with the Saudi Fund for Development, postponing the debt of which Jordan owes.

    The signing of the agreement was announced in an emailed statement issued by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

    Jordan's debt to the Saudi Fund reached USD114 million, consisting of nineteen due loans, and is to be paid in the next twenty years with a five-year grace duration.

    Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mary Kawar affirmed that under the deal, Jordan is to be endorsed in its target to cut its total public debt.
