USD20b to be allocated by Qatar in U.S. energy

(MENAFN) Qatar set out a target to allocate USD20 billion of investment in the U.S. for its energy projects in the upcoming five years.

The plan, Qatari Energy Minister Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi assured, is to support Qatar in its objective to reinforce its production by 60 million tons per day.

The minister stressed: "we think that the US has a huge potential, and production is going forward for a very long time, and therefore we are looking to invest there."

Al-Kaabi added: "we reckon that some $20 billion will be invested in the next five years in the US in different projects we are working on, in different areas - in conventional and non-conventional."
