    UAE's foreign direct investment hits 40 percent in region

    (MENAFN) The UAE's foreign direct investment within Arab countries was unveiled to have reached last year almost 40 percent.

    The figure was revealed by undersecretary for foreign affairs at the Ministry of Economy, Ahmed Al Saleh.

    The UAE, the top official affirmed, is still topping the list in foreign direct investment inflows on a regional scale.

    Al Saleh confirmed: "the UAE was recipient of 40 percent of FDI inflows into Arab and Western Asian countries and 23.3 percent of FDIs directed to the Middle East and North Africa in 2017, getting $130 billion worth of cumulative FDI inflows, 8.7 percent up from 2016."
