Oman posts 36 percent drop in budget deficit Jan-Oct

(MENAFN) Oman was found to have recorded a significant decline in its budget deficit from January to October 2018, compared to the same period in 2017.

The Omani budget deficit registered over 36 percent drop in ten months, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The reduction, as explained the NCSI, was driven by a major development seen in oil and non-oil revenues during the first ten months of this year.

Oman News Agency reported a 32.2 percent jump in the total revenue of the Omani government during the period, along with a 46.9 percent surge in net oil revenues.
