    Kuwait to grant USD98.5m funds for Tunisian agricultural roads project

    (MENAFN) Kuwait and Tunisia inked an USD98.5 million pact on the construction of 148 agricultural roads within the North African country.

    Kuwait agreed to provide funds for Tunisia's plans to establish 148 agricultural roads, covering 912 kilometers in 22 in provinces.

    Head of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Bader penned the agreement with Tunisian minister of development, investment and international cooperation, Zied Laadhari.

    During the signing ceremony, the Tunisian minister announced that "the implementation of the project starts in early 2019 and ends by 2022."

    The minister added that "the project aims to contribute to supporting the social and economic development plans and projects in rural areas while linking them to the national road network."
