Iranian central bank 'smart intervention' stabilizes currency

(MENAFN) Iranian currency rates witnessed stability thanks to "smart intervention" the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) implemented.

A U.S. dollar was traded for 105,000 Iranian rials on Saturday, compared to Wednesday's almost 120,000 rials.

Meanwhile, one euro was traded for 129,000 rials on Saturday from nearly 133,000 rials recorded on Wednesday.

It comes as Iran undergoes economic hiccups following the U.S. sanctions and Trump's withdrawal of the Iranian nuclear accord.
