Qatari real GDP accelerates in Q3 2018

(MENAFN) Qatar recorded a major jump in its real gross domestic product (GDP) during the third quarter of last year, attributed to the stability achieved in hydrocarbon production.

According to a monthly report QNB issued, construction and finance along with real estate sectors contributed in 4.3 percent of non-hydrocarbon GDP growth in Qatar during the third quarter.

QCB foreign exchange reserves, the report unveiled, registered a 2.2 percent boost on a monthly basis, standing at USD48.4 billion in November 2018.

Qatar's current account surplus was also revealed to have widened during the period, with bank assets jumping 4.0 percent by December.
