Iraq, China's CPECC sign contract on NGL plant set up
(MENAFN) Iraqi Basra Gas Company (BGC) penned an agreement with Chinese Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC) on a natural gas liquids (NGL) plant.
Under the agreement, the two Iraqi and Chinese giants will be joining hands on the establishment of an NGL plant in Basra, an Iraqi southern province.
"This is a significant milestone. We are happy to see that CPECC has been awarded to be the main contractor for the Basra-NGL plant - responsible for all the construction, installation and the site works for the plant," stated BGC managing director Frits Klap.
BGC, Klap added, is set to add 40 percent of the existing gas production capacity through the construction of the Basra NGL facility.
