Israeli AI startup to be acquired by McDonald's
(MENAFN) Dynamic Yield, an Israeli startup specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) personalization, will be purchased by McDonald's at a value of over USD300 million.
Tel Aviv-based Dynamic Yield was able to raise USD80 million from various investors including China's Baidu, The New York Times and Deutsche Telekom.
This acquisition "is a major milestone in our company's history, representing a unique opportunity for us to develop at a higher scale of innovation and break the boundaries of what originally thought possible," stated Dynamic Yield co-founder and CEO Liad Agmon.
McDonald's will "utilize the Israeli technology to provide a more personalized customer experience by varying outdoor digital Drive Thru menu displays to show food based on time of day, weather, current restaurant traffic and trending menu items," the food giant affirmed.
