Sharjah to establish major solar-powered city
(MENAFN) UAE's city Sharjah commenced a project to construct a solar-powered sustainable city in cooperation with a Dubai real estate developer.
Valued at roughly USD544,490 billion, the solar-powered city will be established over a period of three to five years.
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is developing Sharjah Sustainable City alongside Diamond Developers, with a plan to cover 668,902 square metres.
Diamond Developers CEO Faris Saeed stated "construction will start in the next three months and the first phase, which covers nearly 25 per cent of the residential area, will be finished by the last quarter of 2021."
