Moroccan energy sector receives USD13.7b investments
(MENAFN) Morocco allocated USD13.7 billion of investments into the energy sector while the government approved of a "national preference" strategy in picking initiatives.
Significant developments were witnessed in Morocco when it comes to scientific research connected to the energy sector, mainly renewable energy, confirmed Moroccan Minister for Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development Aziz Rabbah.
Meanwhile prominent energy firms leveled up due to the growth of the field, allowing them to help boost the energy sector, the Moroccan minister affirmed.
Rabbah added that the country's dependence on foreign countries for electricity was cut to reach 92 percent compared to the previous 98 percent as a result of the national energy approach.
