    Yemen granted USD200m funds from UAE, KSA

    (MENAFN) Yemen will be extended with USD200 million of financing from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia as humanitarian aid.

    This Emirati and Saudi funding is part of "Imdaad" initiative, valued at USD500 million, to help Yemeni citizens.

    Saudi Arabia and the UAE announced the program in collaboration with UN agencies, including the World Food Programme which is contributing with USD140 million.

    UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) is also helping with USD40 million while the World Health Organization (WHO) is allocating USD20 million.
