Tunisia opens institute to reinforce China ties
(MENAFN) Tunisia opened the first Confucius Institute in the country, as it seeks to encourage learning the Chinese language and culture for stronger and closer relations between the two countries.
China's Ambassador to Tunisia Wang Wenbin assured that the institute will reinforce cultural exchanges between Tunisia and China.
Wang affirmed "this marks an important achievement as part of the implementation of the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative."
Potential to have knowledge of the Chinese language and culture will be presented to Tunisians through the institute, stated Tunisian minister of higher education and scientific research Slim Khalbous.
