Saudi Arabia, Nigeria to sign oil, gas agreement
(MENAFN) A memorandum of understanding will be signed between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria to join hands in the oil and gas field.
Under the planned agreement, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria are expected to establish a new refinery and promote investments within liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Saudi energy minister Khalid Al-Falih highlighted the potential of constructing an independent refinery in Nigeria since it was the best gateway to tap into African markets.
Oil giant Saudi Aramco is also looking to develop its downstream operations, including refining and petrochemicals production, to turn into the biggest integrated energy company around the globe.
