    26 percent more tourists head to Moroccan heritage sites

    (MENAFN) Around 1.02 million people paid a visit to heritage sites in Morocco from January to April 2019, contributing to the flourishing tourism sector.

    Morocco recorded a 26 percent boost in the number of arrivals in heritage sites during the four-month period, confirmed the Moroccan Culture Ministry.

    Three Moroccan sites welcomed the majority of guests, including Archaeological Site of Volubilis which received 640,131 visitors.

    Bahia Palace and Chellah necropolis were revealed by the ministry to have saw more than 400,000 tourists each.
