    Morocco granted USD1.4b AfDB investment

    (MENAFN) Morocco was announced to be receiving USD1.4 billion of financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to back the country's efforts to achieve economic and social growth.

    Prime Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani made the declaration after talks with Khaled Sherif, AfDB Vice President for regional development, integration and business delivery.

    Both sides, during the meeting, addressed ways to bolster and deepen relations between Morocco and the AfDB.

    They also shed light on means to increase employment, hike industry's shares in GDP, and reinforce competitiveness among other things.

    Structural reforms in the country were highlighted by El Othmani as they seek to strengthen cooperation between public and private sectors.
