    USD1.84b Moroccan investments reach Africa in decade

    (MENAFN) Moroccan banks, the Ministry of Economy and Finance revealed, allocated over USD1.84 billion of investments within 25 African countries over a ten-year period.

    From 2007 to 2017, this amount of investment accounted for 52.2 percent of total investments that reached African countries from Morocco, the ministry unveiled in a report.

    According to the report, 16.4 percent of the investments went to the telecommunications sector while 12.3 percent helped industry and 5.8 percent were spent in insurance.

    It further added that Egypt received 30.5 percent of the investments while Ivory Coast was granted 19.4 percent of the amount and Senegal took 12 percent from Morocco.
