Egypt, Eritrea explore stronger bilateral relations
(MENAFN) Egypt explored with Eritrea means to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation within various areas, covering economy and trade.
Discussions were held in Cairo between Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and his Eritrean counterpart Isaias Afwerki.
Besides deeper collaboration, both leaders addressed during the meeting various matters related to the region and the African continent.
Sisi, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady revealed, highlighted Egypt's willingness towards "consolidating strategic cooperation with Eritrea in various fields and establishing sustainable partnership between the two countries."
Rady added that both presidents shed light on "close coordination regarding the issues of the region and the continent of Africa in general."
