5G to be deployed in new Abu Dhabi airport
(MENAFN) UAE's telecom giant Etisalat is planning to introduce 5G network services in the Midfield Terminal Building (MTB), a new international airport in Abu Dhabi.
MTB will be marked as the first airport terminal within the region to provide ultra-high speed connectivity thanks to Etisalat.
"We are very glad to activate 5G in Abu Dhabi's new international airport. Etisalat is working closely with smartphone brands to launch their devices on our 5G network as well as in the MENA region," stated Etisalat Mobile Network senior vice president Saeed Al Zarouni.
"Technology is at the heart of our digital transformation strategy and providing our customers with enhanced connectively services at the Midfield Terminal Building is in line with our vision of becoming the world's leading airports group," added CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports Bryan Thompson.
