    Turkish budget deficit exceeds USD2B in June

    (MENAFN) Turkey's finance ministry reported Tuesday that the budget posted a deficit of 12.05 billion lira (USD2.11 billion) in June.

    The ministry said the June budget showed a preliminary deficit, excluding interest payments, of 7.7 billion lira.

    According to the figures, the budget recorded a deficit of 78.58 billion pounds in the first six months of the year, compared with 46.1 billion pounds in the same period of 2018.

    The government expects a deficit of LL 80.6 billion at the end of 2019.
