Israel seeks to make progress towards free trade agreement with S. Korea

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin inked cooperation pacts with South Korea in an attempt to make progress towards a bilateral free trade pact, Rivlin's office emphasized.

He also visited the demilitarized zone between south and north Koreas on the same day, inking a brick in the wall inked by world leaders who visit the buffering area.

Rivlin, who arrived in South Korea on Sunday for a five-day visit, took part in the ratification ceremony of several pacts in many fields such as academic cooperation, his office stated.

The deals include joint research and cooperation in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship and nanotechnology, in addition to programs for student exchanges.
