    July's annual inflation in Turkey jumps

    (MENAFN) On Monday, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) revealed the country's consumer prices to have jumped by 16.65 percent year-on-year in July 2019.

    Annual inflation in Turkey increased by 0.93 percentage points, the statistical institute unveiled comparing the figure to the 15.72 percent recorded in June.

    Miscellaneous products and services marked the highest price hike to post 26.93 percent last month on annual basis.

    TurkStat confirmed: "furnishing and household equipment with 25.41%, hotels, cafes and restaurants with 19.85%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 19.23% and food and non-alcoholic beverages with 18.21% were the other main groups where high annual increases were realized."
