Turkey, Ukraine urged to deal with local currencies

(MENAFN) Volume of bilateral trade between Turkey and Ukraine is expected to achieve an accelerated surge if the two countries started dealing in local currencies.

Head of Turkey-Ukraine Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), Rasim Pekmezci, called on Turkey to form fresh plans and targets under a free trade deal.

Turkey ought to avoid waiting for Ukraine to reach a total rebound in the long term as the country suffers from "bureaucratic issues for investors," the chief noted.

Pekmezci added that "by implementing the industry zone project, which is vital for Ukraine, a policy of mutual gain and information sharing can be pursued."
