    70 percent slump in Iran-U.S. trade

    (MENAFN) Bilateral trade between Iran and the United States plunged by 70 percent year-on-year from January to July 2019.

    Reports confirmed the value of Iranian-U.S. bilateral trade to have stood at USD49 million during the seven-month period on annual basis.

    Iranian imports from the U.S. by July accounted for USD47.8 million, while exports amounted for USD1.2 million.

    Trade between the two countries has been experiencing a continuous decline amid escalated tensions and repeated sanctions.
