Tallest African tower to be seen in Egypt

(MENAFN) Egypt was announced to be ready by January of next year to introduce the tallest tower to be witnessed within the African continent with it being located in the New Administrative Capital.

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is constructing the historic tower, which is likely to have a capacity of 6 million people over a five-year period.

Building the tower is aimed at pushing state and government institutions, ministries, international agencies and diplomatic missions to reach a high-tech smart city.

Yousery Salamouny, resident engineer of the Dar El Handasa Consultants, stated "it's the highest tower in Africa, 385 meters high. It is made up of three parts. The first part is the office part, like an open space for offices, for businesses, banks, agencies."

Salamouny added "the second part is an apartment which is on top of the office part in the middle of the height of this tower, and it's fully furnished apartments. The top part is the hotel, guest rooms as usual with lobbies and all the features that you can find in a hotel."
