KSA, WEF ink deal to form centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is ready to form a Fourth Industrial Revolution Centre in cooperation with the World Economic Forum (WEF), an establishment to become the fifth worldwide.

Looking to attract technological investments, Saudi minister of economy and planning Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri penned a deal for the plan with WEF executive chairman Klaus Schwab.

Both sides signed the agreement after engaging in talks related to bilateral collaboration among Saudi Arabia and the WEF, which is located in Geneva.

A statement issued on Thursday confirmed: "the centre will provide space for the development of the mechanisms, plans and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the kingdom and will contribute to the adoption of technology and best practices in the region and the world."
