Kuwait- commercial mission to be established in Baghdad
(MENAFN)
Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan has declared that Kuwait would have a commercial mission in Baghdad to increase trade exchange with its Arab neighbor.
In a speech at the conclusion of the first meeting of the Kuwaiti-Iraqi Joint Ministerial Committee, Al-Roudhan stated his satisfaction with the improvement of relations between the two countries.
The minister commended the result of the meeting which represented the two countries' passion to improve collaboration and coordination in all sectors.
Since February, the two countries' officials conducted over four meetings and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah paid a historic visit to Baghdad to more strengthen ties, he stated.
For his part, Iraqi Trade Minister Mohammad Al-Ani told KUNA that the ministerial meeting also considered opening a new Safwan border crossing, adding that the Kuwaiti side will found the crossing point.
