Turkey's confidence index improves in October

(MENAFN) The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) stated on Monday, October 26th that confidence in Turkey's services, retail trade and construction divisions recovered in October in comparison with the previous month.

The services confidence index registered the biggest increase this month, up 6.4 percent from September to 79.7 points, as the demand turnover increased within the last three months, along with predictions for the upcoming period.

The retail trade sector index augmented 1.7 percent since last month to become 95 in October, as supervisors in the division noted that business activity-sales had gotten better within the last three months and expecting it to improve even more in the upcoming months.

Turkey's construction division confidence index increased 0.6 percent, reaching 83.8, making it the lowest increase registered within the same time of rising figures of other sectors, held back from increasing due to the total employment expectation sub-index.
