    Turkey: Manufacturing industry's rates increase

    (MENAFN) Turkey's Central Bank declared on Monday, October 26th, that the country's manufacturing industry used 75.4 percent of its capacity in October.

    The bank's survey indicated that the capacity utilization rate (CUR) of the division increased 0.8 percent from the previous month, in October.

    The bank explained that the numbers are supported by the responses given to its business tendency survey by domestic units working in the manufacturing industry.

    This month's survey was based on the responses received by 1,732 industries.

    Amongst the country's six key industrial groups, the highest capacity usage was 76.9 percent for intermediate goods, while unsustainable user products had the lowest rate with 71.8 percent.

    On the other hand, amongst over 20 divisions, the highest CUR was earned by manufacturers of paper and paper products at 85.1 percent and the lowest capacity usage can be noted in manufacturers of leather products at 61 percent.
