Turkey's exports to foreign countries increase

(MENAFN) Turkey's industry and technology minister stated on Tuesday, October 27th that instability in fiscal markets over the last few days has no effect whatsoever on Turkish economy's production ability and business.

Mustafa Varank noted, during a business meeting with officials in Sakarya, western Turkey, that investment demand increased 30 percent in the period from January to August in comparison to the previous year, in spite of the impact Covid-19 outbreak had on the world of business.

"In the first nine months, 10,802 industrial firms registered with the industrial registry system. This figure represents a 12% increase compared to the same period of last year," he highlighted.

Adding that the revival in foreign demand had increased the country's exports, where this past September it reached more than USD16 billion.

"The global economy's center of gravity began to shift," he concluded.
