    Turkey to improve trade with Denmark

    (MENAFN) The Turkish trade minister stated on Tuesday, October 27th, that Turkey and Denmark are working towards augmenting bilateral trade from USD2 billion to USD5 billion per annum.

    Turkey and Denmark conducted the second term meeting, online, of the Joint Economic Trade Committee, which was founded in 2013.

    According to Ruhsar Pekcan she discussed a variety of concerns with Sebastian Kofod, Denmark's Foreign Affairs Minister, such as rising collaboration in industry, services and agricultural divisions.

    She noted that both parties, which are NATO allies, have high prospects of cooperating in different domains, such as defense, renewable energy, medicine, chemical and automotive.

    She added that revising EU's customs union with Turkey will be valuable for both nations.

    Pekcan mentioned that one of the important topics discussed during the meeting was the significance of using local currencies in bilateral trade.
