    Turkish exports increase

    (MENAFN) Turkey's statistical official announced on Friday, October 30th, that Turkish exports augmented 4.8 percent on a year-to-year basis in September.

    The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) declared on Friday, October 30th, that the number reached USD16 billion.

    Turkey's imports reached USD20.8 billion last month, an annual increase of 23 percent.

    While imports augmented even faster than, the nation's foreign trade deficit had increased to USD4.8 billion within the same timeframe.

    Based on the data released by the Trade Ministry on the second of October, the country witnessed an all-time high September export number at USD16.13 billion.

    While the exports-to-imports coverage ratio was 76.8 percent in September 2020, which is a 90.2 percent decrease from the same time the previous year.
