    UAE to improve tourism sector

    (MENAFN) Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, signed off on Saturday, October 31st, on a plan to establish an extra 12km on beaches in the emirate in an attempt to better tourism after the Covid-19 outbreak that caused the sector to decline.

    The UAE's Prime Minister and Vice-President and Dubai Ruler posted several tweets where he expressed that an area of one million square meters will be established from Al Mamzar Beach to Umm Suqeim II at a cost of AED500 million (USD136 million).

    One of the tweets was "More areas for swimming... and better running paths... and longer bicycle streets... Quality life in Dubai is the secret of loving life in Dubai."

    In another he announced that there is another plan to also expand green spaces and gardens which includes 29 new projects to add eight million square metres of mentioned lands within Dubai's residential and commercial regions, the project will cost AED2 billion (almost USD5.5 million).

    "We are continuing to develop our city... we continue to develop our quality of life... we continue to build our future," he added.
