    KSA: Government finds corruption in Nazaha

    (MENAFN) Corruption had been found in Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), when they declared on Friday, October 30th, that they have took part of 123 cases of financial fraud in several divisions.

    Amongst those who were arrested was a staff member in Nazaha who was the head of the anti-encroachment department in a governorate's municipality, a citizen who manipulated one of the cases in the favor of the relative of the municipality worker, a judge, an ex-member of the Shoura Council, a former undersecretary of a governorate, a previous officer with the rank of brigadier general, a lawyer, and three citizens who carried out two deeds for a total area of 169.2 million square meters in one of the governorates in an unequal method.

    The Ministry of Justice invalidated the deeds later on.

    Two more individuals were detained for accepting bribes that reached SR400 million (almost USD107 million) in return for giving projects to certain companies.

    The criminal used his bank accounts outside the Kingdom to obtain money transformed from within the country, while selling real estate inside the kingdom at increased prices.
