KSA to create 50,000 jobs through Golf Saudi

(MENAFN) Golf Saudi has released their new plans to make the sport more popular across the kingdom by developing 23 new courses by 2030 which will offer 50,000 new job opportunities.

Majed Al Sorour, CEO of Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation, disclosed to the media that they have already began conferring their project with a number of the most important international golf course designers.

This also entails some of the stars of the game like Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, in addition to Greg Norman. Al Sorour mentioned that America's Tiger Woods will also be engaged in the plan, with additional interest from top Europeans Henrik Stenson and Thomas Bjorn, to list a few.

"It is going to be big and that's a promise. That's something that I take very dear to my heart. I know my boss is committed to golf, the Crown Prince is committed to golf. We're going to be building as many golf courses as we can," he expressed, adding: "I promised Dustin (Johnson) and Sergio (Garcia) and Patrick (Reed), we will design golf courses for them. If it's the first time (for them to help design courses), that would be really great."
