Iran to modify part of national power grid

(MENAFN) A spokesperson for the Power Generation, Distribution, and Transmission Company of Iran (known as Tavanir) told reporters that the company is planning to enact a program that will enhance and renovate more than 1,300 kilometers of the country's electricity network.

Gholamali Rakhshani-Mehr said that according to this program, which will be formally announced on November 19, a two-day maneuver will be held on the last Thursday and Friday of each month to modify part of the country's power grid.

This maneuver will be enacted for its first time in the nation, as IRNA reported on Wednesday, with an emphasis on the digitalization of the state's power grid maintenance systems and the management of the assets of the Energy Ministry.

In this nationwide maneuver to repair worn-out electricity distribution networks, more than 3,900 specialized personnel in the form of 1,327 operational teams will participate, Rakhshani-Mehr said.
