    Iran posts rise in agricultural exports over 2020's 1st 7 months

    (MENAFN) According to an official with the Islamic Republic of Iran's Customs Administration (IRICA), the volume of Iran's exports of agricultural products increased by 13.8 percent during the first seven months of the new Iranian calendar year (March 20-October 21), compared to the same period last year.

    In the seven-month span of this year, Mehrdad Jamal Orounaqi, IRICA Deputy Head of Technical and Customs Affairs, placed the value of exported goods at USD 3.1 billion, ISNA published.

    The official said that the amount of agricultural commodities shipped during the aforementioned period had increased by 26.7 percent to 4,537 million tons.

    A total of 3,599 million tons of agricultural goods valued USD 2.7 billion were exported in the first seven months of the preceding year according to Orounaqi.
