SunExpress proposals unoccupied middle chair choice

(MENAFN) Turkish-German airline SunExpress said Wednesday in a statement that it decided to give its travelers the choice to book an unoccupied middle seat for a small payment as part of its coronavirus safety measures.

The statement revealed that the proposal relates to all connections in the SunExpress network, beginning from 59.99 Turkish liras (USD 8) on domestic routes and "39.99 (USD 47) on international airlines.

Peter Glade, the chief commercial officer at SunExpress, said space was a major concern for many passengers, with many often stating the wish for a guaranteed empty middle seat.

Based in sunny Antalya on the Turkish Mediterranean, SunExpress was founded in 1989 as a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Germany's Lufthansa.
