    Exports from Iran's southeastern Kerman Province improves 34 percent

    (MENAFN)A provincial official declared that, in the first eight months of this year in the Iranian calendar, the worth of exports from Iran"s southeastern Kerman Province improved 34 percent in comparison with the previous year same period.

    Kerman has exported about 265,000 tons of commodities valued more than USD613 million in the mentioned period, stated Mohammadreza Qader, the director-general of the province"s customs department.

    The export increased three percent in terms of weight in that period, and mentioned pistachios and pistachio kernels, copper products, fresh and dried dates, sugar, and ceramic tiles as the major exported products, declared the official.

    29,806 tons of commodities valued USD213 million have been imported to the province during the first eight months of the current year, indicating 34 percent, and 48 percent increase in terms of value and weight, respectively, he also added.
