    Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreases 7.12 percent to reach 799,123 megawatt-hours

    (MENAFN)On Sunday, official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation declared that, Turkey's daily electricity consumption dropped off by 7.12percent on Saturday in comparison to the last day to stand at 799,123 megawatt-hours.

    Data from TEIAS showed that hourly power consumption pointed at 19:00 local time, maintaining 38,852 megawatt-hours, the country's electricity usage increased to its lowest level of 29,489 megawatt-hours at 05:00 local time.

    On Sunday Electricity production stood at 809,447 megawatt-hours, achieving a 6.84 percent fall in comparison with the last day.

    While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas comprised 36.82 percent of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 24.03 percent share while hydroelectricity power plants covers 14.37 percent.
