    Turkish lenders reaffirm trust in country, sector

    (MENAFN)Turkish lenders reaffirmed trust in their country and sector, with providing about USD7 billion in financing from international financial institutions in the second half of the current year.

    The global risk appetite has been increased by normalization steps around the world and positive developments concerning the Coronavirus vaccine.

    The country also accomplished important success in accessing international funds; while Turkey has received commend for its actions and proactive steps to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

    Lenders protected USD5.9 billion syndicated loans in the second half of the year, which gave nearly USD6 billion in syndicated loans in April-May when the Virus was at its begging.

    The cost of syndication loan increased about 25 basis points, depending on developments in the country's risk premium and decisions by credit rating agencies.
