    Turkey's exports reaches USD 135.6B in 1st 10 months

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Turkey's export sector is its "big strength," an international economist stated among US sanctions against Turkey.

Brooks, chief economist at the Washington-based Institute of International Finance posted in twitter, "Turkey has a big strength: its hugely competitive export sector, "he added, "Just look at how much Turkey's exports rose pre COVID-19 versus other emerging markets."

The Turkish economy's two major vulnerabilities are credit stimulus, which will level up imports, and weak recovery in Europe, which takes nearly 50 percent shares in its total exports, he further said.

In the first 10 months of 2020, Turkey's exports amounted at USD 135.6 billion.

There is release in markets that Turkish lira handled the US sanctions "as well as it has," he added.
