    Turkey: Automotive market develops 55.4 percent in first half

    (MENAFN)An industry group statement revealed on Friday, July 2, that sales of traveler cars and light commercial cars in Turkey developed 55.4 percent annually in the first half of 2021.

    The Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD) revealed in a report that as many as 394,701 cars were sold throughout Turkey in the first half of this year.

    Passenger cars made up 78.6 percent of the sales with 310,325 units, a 52.4 percent increase from the same period of 2020.

    A total of 84,376 light commercial cars were sold from January to June, increasing 67.2 percent on a yearly basis.
