Iranian banking system pays USD166.9B of facilities to domestic economic sectors
(MENAFN) In the first four months of the current Iranian year, Iranian banking system paid 7.01 quadrillion rials (over USD166.9 billion) of facilities to domestic economic sectors, marking a 280.4 percent improvement from the figure for the last year same time span.
IRNA quoted data provided by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) as saying that banks paid 2.5 quadrillion rials (about USD59.5 billion) of facilities to a variety of economic sectors in the lasr calendar year’s first four months.
Working capital loans paid to different economic sectors in the stated period were about 4.794 quadrillion rials (about USD114.14 billion), amounting for 68.4 percent of the total provided facilities.
Iran’s mining and industry sector took more than 1.717 quadrillion rials (about USD40.8 billion) in the form of working capital loans, standing at for 35.8 percent of the total such facilities.
