    Saudis’ transactions in US stocks in 2021 amount to USD16.17B

    (MENAFN)According to official data, Saudis trading in US stocks, through market institutions licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA), marked a drop of 25.4 percent, in the second three months from a year ago, spotting a fall in trading for the third quarter in a row.

    In the second three months of 2021, Saudis’ transactions in the US stocks stood at SR60.65 billion (USD16.17 billion) including buying and selling, in comparison to about SR81.34 billion in the second three months f 2021, CMA data reported. Trading dropped by 21.7 percent in comparison to the first three months of 2021, after it amounted at SR77.4 billion during.

    The data also declared that regardless of the drop in the April-July period, trading in US equity saw a huge increase since the start of the previous year. The trading of the third three months of 2020 is the highest recorded so far, as it surpassed SR100 billion.
